Alhaji Bamanga Tukur,the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is rumouerd to have tendered his letter of resignation. Just few days back, The social media was rife with speculation of Bamaga Tukur with some activists saying that Tukur resigned to safe his face after dragging the party into huge mess at the expense of the opposition party,APC.
According to indications, Tukur letter of resignation shows that it would take effect from Thursday.However,some political observers believe that Tukur is an experienced politician and he knows how to play his game.Nigerian newspapers headlines Tuesday show that Bamaga Tukur is not ready to resign.He said, President Goodluck Jonathan has no power to remove him from office.>>>>.png)
Bamaga Tukur’s tenure as chairman of PDP is regarded as the most turbulent and controversial so far.Five governors have defected to the main opposition party,All Progressives Congress (APC) because of Tukur’s refusal to resign in the past. More news about the resignation will come soon.
A former minister of industry,Tukur is a wealthy businessman, leader, African Business Roudtable and politician.He is from Adamawa State.
