Court Saks PDP Lawmakers Who Decamped to APC

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday asked 37 former members of the PDP who decamped to the APC to resign their seats at the House of Representatives for joining the fast growing opposition party.

But it appears the court went beyond it's brief as the case before it was just to perpetually restrained them from effecting any leadership change in the House of Reps, and it eventually gave that order.

Delivering judgment in a matter brought by PDP asking that the legislators should not be allowed to take part in the attempt to change the leadership of the House, the court ruled that:

“Having perused the arguments of counsel and the constitutional provisions, it is clear and unambiguous that the defendants were sponsored by the PDP and won the election on its platform. It is also the court’s opinion that their tenure has not expired and there is no division in the PDP’’.

THE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH OF ELUSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT- NIGERIA’S CENTURY OLD FAILURES AND PROSPECTS FOR A NEW NIGERIA

Protocols:

Good afternoon, chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress.

Thanks for inviting me as your Keynote Speaker at your Unveiling of Road Map Summit. I do not know how you decided to take this high risk of inviting me to your gathering, knowing full well that my zeal for candor can be generally unsettling for some people of your class and occupation. Since you took the risk, I have assumed the liberty to speak boldly even to your discomfort especially considering that we live in a season of grim when our country is greatly troubled. In perilous times like this, Truth is the absolute freedom. I shall be spurred on by the counsel of George Orwell who in honor of truth stated that “in a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act”. I further assume that if you wanted someone with the skills of deceit, it would not be me that you would have invited to your gathering. I therefore speak to you today not as a politician>>>>

Another Trouble For Ameachi As President Jonathan Gives Zero Allocation To Rivers State In 2014 Works Budeget

...APC commends Hon. Dakuku Peterside’s walk-out at Works Ministry’s Budget Defence

We have learnt with shock and disbelief, of the zero allocation to Rivers State in 2014 Budget of the Federal Ministry of Works. What this means is that Rivers will not receive any Federal Government project this year!

No one is deceived by the claim of the Minister of Works, Architect Mike Onolememen, while defending the Ministry’s budget on Tuesday before the House of Representatives Committee on Works, that neither the Federal Government nor his ministry was at war with Rivers State. If that is the case, then what could have warranted the omission of Rivers State from the list of States that will enjoy Federal Government presence in terms of capital project execution this year? If this is not war, then what is it?>>>

6 Youths Caught with Big Arms In Rivers

The issue of 2015 and rising of political tempo can not be swept under the carpet. We all recalled when ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan last December that armed men were being trained secretly for 2015 elections, alot of us saw it as just an attempt to rubbish this Government. Also, last week, Governor Rotimi Amaechi cried out that desperate politicians in Abuja are moving arms into his state, again we all thought the guy is just talking like an opposition politician.

But with the recent arrest of these 6 youths with heavy arms, we most now start given credence to the issue and say, alas! its not all rumors again after all. >>>>

All Is Not Well In APC!

It is a well-known fact that APC has being widely accepted in many states in Nigeria. But despite this wide acceptance, all appears not to be well in the house of the All Progressives Congress. This is because of power sharing and control of the party machinery between the new entrants and the old people who has been in the party since.

When contacted, the Director of Press to Kano State governor, Baba Dantiye, said fears about Kwankwaso’s commitment to working with other leaders were misplaced. In his words:>>>>

Counter Attack! PDP Re-strategizes Against The Opposition---Dele Momodu.

Fellow Nigerians, let me start by sending you my warmest compliments of this special season. It has been one hell of a year for our beloved country and most of us in general. The tempo of politics has nearly reached a crescendo as we meander our way towards the year 2014. Next year promises to be an interesting one already as those masquerades seeking political offices or simply waiting to renew their tenure must unmask eventually.

There would be no hiding place for the goldfish by this time next year...
I have therefore chosen to move beyond the letter writers and their satanic epistles. If they like, they can continue to strip themselves naked in the market place. The chicanery that brought them together is what will scatter them ultimately. A house built with spittle would easily collapse at the fall of the dew.

Truth is, none of the letters truthfully addressed the issues of development. They were letters reeking with personal animosity and rabid vendetta. The common motive was simple and easy to decipher: who controls power and our commonwealth from2015, after the elections? No more, no less.>>>>

Revelations: Tanbuwal Set To Dump PDP Come January 2014

The broom revolution hitting the Nigerian political landscape is yet to come to an end. The negative fortune of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is set to dim even further as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal is set to formally decamp to the leading opposition party in the country, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The leadership of the PDP receives this news as a great shock, because it had earlier in December had extracted a word of commitment from the House leaders that member’s defection will no longer be tenable.

National Mirror gathered that the Sokoto State chapter of the APC has mandated its Tambuwal Local Government chapter to formally present a membership card to the Speaker who has been asked by the state Governor, Aliyu Wamakko to formally declare his stand.>>>
