Court Saks PDP Lawmakers Who Decamped to APC

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday asked 37 former members of the PDP who decamped to the APC to resign their seats at the House of Representatives for joining the fast growing opposition party.

But it appears the court went beyond it's brief as the case before it was just to perpetually restrained them from effecting any leadership change in the House of Reps, and it eventually gave that order.

Delivering judgment in a matter brought by PDP asking that the legislators should not be allowed to take part in the attempt to change the leadership of the House, the court ruled that:

“Having perused the arguments of counsel and the constitutional provisions, it is clear and unambiguous that the defendants were sponsored by the PDP and won the election on its platform. It is also the court’s opinion that their tenure has not expired and there is no division in the PDP’’.

Another Trouble For Ameachi As President Jonathan Gives Zero Allocation To Rivers State In 2014 Works Budeget

...APC commends Hon. Dakuku Peterside’s walk-out at Works Ministry’s Budget Defence

We have learnt with shock and disbelief, of the zero allocation to Rivers State in 2014 Budget of the Federal Ministry of Works. What this means is that Rivers will not receive any Federal Government project this year!

No one is deceived by the claim of the Minister of Works, Architect Mike Onolememen, while defending the Ministry’s budget on Tuesday before the House of Representatives Committee on Works, that neither the Federal Government nor his ministry was at war with Rivers State. If that is the case, then what could have warranted the omission of Rivers State from the list of States that will enjoy Federal Government presence in terms of capital project execution this year? If this is not war, then what is it?>>>

6 Youths Caught with Big Arms In Rivers

The issue of 2015 and rising of political tempo can not be swept under the carpet. We all recalled when ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan last December that armed men were being trained secretly for 2015 elections, alot of us saw it as just an attempt to rubbish this Government. Also, last week, Governor Rotimi Amaechi cried out that desperate politicians in Abuja are moving arms into his state, again we all thought the guy is just talking like an opposition politician.

But with the recent arrest of these 6 youths with heavy arms, we most now start given credence to the issue and say, alas! its not all rumors again after all. >>>>
