Confusion was the best word to describe what happened yesterday right in the office of Niger State Governor, The Chief Servant, Dr. Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu as a 46-year-old woman, identified as Belkisu Mahmoud suddenly slumped and
died under controversial circumstances.
It
was gathered that the deceased, Hajiya Mahmoud, mother of three children had
waited for several hours to see the governor but was denied access to see him.>>>>
The
governor was said to be indisposed as he had a lot of files to treat due to the
New Year break. But shortly after she was allowed to see the governor, she
slumped in his office.
Source
in the governor’s office who spoke in confidence said the woman who was
suspected to be asthmatic was immediately rushed to the Minna General Hospital
where a doctor confirmed her dead.
The
woman who was on a private visit to the office was delayed in the waiting hall
because her name was not on the approved protocol list of those to see the
governor
It
seems she was a former staff officer (SO) in the Deputy Governor’s office.
Doctors
at the Minna General Hospital kept sealed lips and refused to comment on the
unfortunate incident.
