Late pop-gospel singer
Kefee's remains will be laid to rest on next Friday, July 11th, in her hometown
Okpara Inland, a community located in the Ethiope East local Government Area of
Delta State Nigeria.
The announcement was made by
Kefee's family during the Kefee Memorial Committee members' condolence visit to
her parents in Sapele on Wednesday. It may be noted here that the Kefee
Memorial Committee is agroup of artistes formed in wake of her death.
The members of the
condolence team who visited her parents in Sapele included Annie Ibrahim,
Gordons, Covenant, Sammie Okposo, Nikki Laoye, Princess, Linda Etukudo, Rex
Anighoro, and Noah Momodu.
Okposo said they visited her
parents to commiserate with them on the heavy loss, and to involve in the late
popular singer's burial plans.
Speaking on behalf of the
team, He said, "We will show the last respects we owe our sister, to the
best of our abilities. We will let the world know that a queen was here and she
will always be celebrated. Though we are heartbroken, we will be comforted in
the fact that God knows best."
Born on February 5, 1980, in
Sapele, Kefee breathed her last breath on June 13 this year in the United
States. She had been playing an active role in the entertainment industry for
around last ten years.
Known as the Branama Queen,
Kefee had four albums to her credit, viz. 'Branama,' 'Branama II,' 'A Piece of
Me,' and 'Chorus Leader,' which were released in 2003, 2005, 2009 and 2013,
respectively.
